This painting reminds me of the  Santa Ana winds I expereinced in California.   Santa Ana winds typically felt like warm winds.  I found out this was because as the cool desert air moves down the side of the mountain, it is compressed, which causes the temperature of the air to rise.   Recreating this part of my life was rewarded.
 
I painted this painting on a hard board and attached it to a canvas.  I added such a fun layered look.
 
Black, White, Charcoal, Graphite, Touches of yellows and rusts and blends of each color as they blend
